Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common, particularly for women. For women aged 16 to 64, uncomplicated UTIs can often be treated effectively by visiting a pharmacy. If you suspect a UTI and meet the criteria, a pharmacist can help provide appropriate care.
The specific criteria to access this treatment are:
You are a woman aged 16 to 64.
You are not pregnant.
You do not have a urinary catheter.
You have not had recurrent UTIs (defined as two or more episodes in the last six months or three or more episodes in the last 12 months
