The Surgery is open from 8.00am - 6.30pm
Monday to Friday

In 2004 the practice became accredited as a training practice for new GPs.

Dr Hatfull and Dr Phillips are the GP trainers. We will have GP registrars attached to the practice on a regular basis.  Our registrars are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to the practice for 12 months and usually become general practitioners after completing their training. They are at all times encouraged to seek advice when required from the practice partners.

  • Dr Kieran Gilmartin BM

Dr Kieran Gilmartin joins the practice for 16 months as our GP registrar. He trained in Southampton and qualified in 2002. He is a Surgeon Lieutenant in the Royal Navy. Kieran has trained in various specialties in Portsmouth, Plymouth and Southampton. He is married without children. We welcome him from the 1st April 2008.

We will also be welcoming Doctors called "F2" trainees. These are postgraduate junior Doctors in their second year of training after medical school. They may wish to pursue careers in other specialties other than General Practice and are here to gain insight in the working of community medicine. They are closely supervised but are qualified Doctors.

We are also fortunate to have medical students attached to our practice for short periods. Dr Phillips teaches students from the University of Southampton Medical School. If you do not wish to have the student present during your consultation please inform the reception staff prior to seeing the doctor.
When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would consult with one of our registrars. Please feel free to decline if you have concerns.

T.A.R.G.E.T.

On four afternoons a year from 1.00pm the practice will be closed for staff training.

T.A.R.G.E.T was developed in 2004 by the Fareham and Gosport Primary Care Trust to give protected time for the doctors, nurses and other staff for education and development of the practice. We will advertise these days in advance both on the website and at reception.

Emergency cover for problems that can not wait until the next day is provided from 1.00pm by telephoning 02392 377921.
