A health visitor is normally available at this time for advice and to arrange for baby to be weighed. Click here to view the new vaccination schedule from September 2006.

Some examples of the procedures carried out are: injection of tennis elbows, aspiration of cysts, removal of moles, sebaceous cysts and skin tags and ablation of ingrowing toe-nails. Please make an appointment with Drs Webster or Rushen for assessment. Dr Webster is also available to freeze warts and verrucae. Dr Smith also carries out joint injections.

New Patient Check

  • All newly registered patients aged over five are invited to attend for a check up at a nurse run clinic.

Respiratory Medicine Clinic

  • For patients of all ages who have asthma or respiratory disease. The nurse will advise on inhaler technique, preventing problems and medication.

Smoke Stop Clinic

  • A new addition for 2005. Our nurses will provide a one-to-one assessment of your needs, give advice on quitting, organize medication if appropriate and follow up to help you break the habit.

Travel Advice

  •  The treatment room nurses are happy to give advice, by appointment, on vaccination and other health requirements for foreign travel. Following appropriate assessment, vaccinations, for some of which there may be a charge, will be scheduled. Please note that for some courses of treatment to be effective they need to be started several weeks before travel - please don’t leave making an appointment to the last minute!

Well Woman Clinic

  • Both Dr Nagvekar and Dr Harris carry out well woman checks, as does one of our specialist nurses. You will have a general check up with an emphasis on female problems. The nurse will teach you breast self-examination and carry out smears on symptom-free women, but if you feel you have symptoms which might need investigation it is better to make an appointment with a doctor. Any woman who is due a routine smear will be invited to make an appointment at the nurse’s clinic.
